History of the Mongol Khüree Monastery

Change log

Abstract

In this interview, Törmönkh recalled the history of Mongol Khüree Monastery. The monastery was built by the Öölds during the Qing period under the Tekhes banner. The name “Mongol Khüree” was given to the banner after the monastery's construction, to distinguish it from Ulaan Khüree within the Tekhes banner. Meanwhile, the Qing government separately administered the seven Ööld Sums following the monastery's establishment.
