Description
278 x 210 mm. Showing leaf laid out on the withering 'tats' (shelves formed from Hessian spread over a wooden framework). The purpose of the withering process is to allow a certain amount of moisture to escape from the leaf and to become sufficiently flaccid and pliable for rolling. Annotated 'T11' on the bottom right hand corner. Date approximate.
