Description
Half-plate. The photograph is annotated: 'The loom is of old pattern of Aurangabad Kinkob work. Kinkob work is usually of gold and silver thread, worked in patterns. The boy sitting above is controlling the threads, and helps to make the pattern by raising or lowering the threads in the warp below. The boy sitting below in the well works the shuttles'.
