Description

  1. Dataset Overview

This dataset contains structured results from a systematic literature review on the application of immersive technologies (VR, AR, MR) in cultural heritage. It includes metadata, categorization, and analysis of 177 selected papers.

  1. Data Collection & Processing • Sources: ACM Digital Library, IEEE Xplore, and Scopus. • Selection Criteria: Papers were screened based on relevance, focus on digital cultural heritage, and methodological quality. • Filtering Process: • Initial search retrieved 5,368 papers. • After removing duplicates, non-English papers, and less relevant studies, 177 papers were selected. • Categorization: Each paper was labeled based on: • Devices (AR/VR, mobile, interactive installations, etc.) • Applications (education, museums, preservation, etc.) • Technologies (immersive experiences, data analysis, content management, etc.)

  2. Dataset Structure • Format: CSV/Excel with the following fields: • Paper title, authors, year, venue • Categorization (Device, Application, Technology) • Keywords and abstract summaries • Publication trends and bibliometric data

  3. Accessibility & Use Cases • Designed for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in cultural heritage and immersive tech. • Standardized labels allow easy searching and data analysis. • Can be used for identifying research trends, evaluating technological adoption, and exploring application areas.
