Description
A RIEGL VZ‐400 (RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems GmbH) was utilised for LiDAR data collection. The scanner used has a wavelength of 1,550 nm, a beam divergence of 0.35 mrad and a measuring range of around 600 m. The LiDAR data was obtained from scanning Malet street and Hampstead Heath in London. All text files uploaded represent the coordinates (x,y and z) of every point in the point cloud dataset. There datasets were collected from 11 different locations. The first column of each dataset in the text file represents the x coordinates, the second column the y coordinates and the third column the z coordinates of every point collected along the measurements. The data text files were read with a MATLAB algorithm by incorporating the x,y and z coordinates of each point to create a 3D image of the scanned scene. A 360-degree view was obtained in this way.
