Microscale Polymer Processing
About this collection
The micro-scale polymer processing project was a collaborative project co-ordinated by the IRC in Polymer Science and Technology at the University of Leeds. It brought together a large number of scientists and industrial collaborators in order to study how molecular variables influence polymer processing. The work carried out by the Polymer Fluids Group as part of the project included:
- Investigation of flow induced crystallisation in polymer melts.
- The rheological behaviour and visualisation of 2-phase polymer flows. In particular the behaviour of filled polymer systems.
- Experimental investigation of the flow behaviour of polymers including flow instabilities.
The images and videos collected for this project can be viewed here.
