This chapter considers the 'positioning' of researching professionals who are funded by the organisation which they are researching, as I am. I suggest three critical agendas through which to consider reflexive practice and positioning: (1) researching professionals' positioning as simultaneous 'insider' and 'outsider', (2) the kinds of knowledge that they can produce, and (3) ethical challenges that they face when being funded.
