This video shows the practice of a real-scene performance of the Jangar epic in Bayanbulag shown to visiting Oirat Mongolian scholars and urtiin duu singers from all over Xinjiang. This is one of the major cultural heritage project in Bayanbulag. The local government has recruited local young Torghut herders to act the roles of Jangar and 12 baatar (heroes) as appeared in the Jangar epic. A large Jangar-themed village is being built to accommodate tourists.
