Abstract
An interim report of excavations by the Aldborough Roman Town Project by the river Ure in September 2020. Previous geophysical survey at Aldborough identified a feature interpreted as the foundations for a Roman bridge crossing the river Ure to the north of the Roman town. This preliminary trial trenching aimed to discover the depth and preservation of these remains, in order to plan further work.
