Description
These are the data collected within the linked online randomised controlled trial of the effect of providing online risk information and lifestyle advice for the most common preventable cancers. Accompanying the data and attached to this record is a detailed data dictionary including the questions and response options for each data fields as well as any pre-processing that has been performed. Consent was given by participants to share anonymised data with other responsible researchers. As consent was not given to share publically it is not possible to add the data to the repository. Instead, the data are stored within the Primary Care Unit and researchers can request access by contacting Dr Juliet Usher-Smith (jau20@medschl.cam.ac.uk) or PCU_DATA@medschl.cam.ac.uk. Applicants will be required to complete a Data Access Agreement that will indicate the criteria for data access and conditions for research use and will incorporate privacy and confidentiality standards to ensure data security.
Format
No specific software is needed. The data were analysed using STATA v15 but are provided in a .csv format that can be uploaded into any analysis software.
