Proceedings of the 17th Young Geotechnical Engineers Symposium YGES 2024

Abstract

The extended abstracts in these proceedings were presented at the 17th British Geotechnical Association Young Geotechnical Engineer Symposium (YGES 2024), held at the University of Cambridge from July 1-3, 2024. The BGA Young Geotechnical Engineer Symposia provide an excellent opportunity for graduate students, researchers, and early-career geotechnical engineers to discuss the latest advances and address the current challenges in ground engineering. Participants can showcase exciting and innovative projects in a forum where information and ideas are exchanged in an informal, friendly, and constructive atmosphere. For many of the youngest participants, this event marks their first major conference, offering a great opportunity to obtain valuable feedback and build professional and personal relationships.
