Description

This repository contains data associated with the publication "Magnetoelastic coupling in the stretched diamond lattice of TbTaO4"

Contents

  1. Folder: "heat capacity_6p81mg" This folder contains .csv files listing heat capacity data measured under various magnetic fields.

Example: "TbTaO4_6P81mg_ZFC_0p1T_1p8-60K.csv" contains data collected from 1.8 K to 60 K under a 0.1 T field, with the sample zero-field-cooled (ZFC). The sample mass is 6.81 mg.

Key columns for analysis:

SampleTemp_Kelvin: Temperature (K)

SampHC J K: Heat capacity (J/K) These columns were used to generate the magnetic specific heat vs. temperature plots in the paper.

  1. Folder: "magnetic susceptibility_9p27mg" This folder contains .csv files with normalized magnetization data under various magnetic fields. The sample mass is 9.27 mg.

Note: Some .xlsx files (e.g., "TbTaO4_MvT_100_to5000oe.xlsx") contain multiple datasets, which can be separated based on the "MagneticField_Oe"_ column.

Key columns for analysis:

Temperature_K: Temperature (K)

DCMomentFixedCtr_emu_: Magnetic moment (emu) These columns were used to generate the M/H vs. temperature plots.

  1. Folder: "isothermal magnetization_11p67mg" This folder includes .csv files listing isothermal magnetization measurements taken at various temperatures. The sample mass is 11.67 mg.

Key columns for analysis:

MagneticField_Oe_: Magnetic field (Oe)

DCMomentFixedCtr_emu_: Magnetic moment (emu) These data were used to construct the M vs. B (isothermal magnetization) plots.

  1. Folder: pxrd Contains raw powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data collected at room temperature.

  2. Folder: neutron Includes two subfolders with powder neutron diffraction data:

1.6K: Data collected at 1.6 K under various magnetic fields.

Example: "hrpt_n_TbTaO4_2023_V8x30_mf_0p5_2p45n_MR_T_1K.xye" corresponds to measurements taken under 0.5 T with a neutron wavelength of 2.45 Å.

20K: Data measured at 20 K under various magnetic fields.
