Abstract
This article discusses the importance of initiating conversations on death and dying, and how community nurses can develop these skills. Having timely end-of-life conversations can have a huge impact on care needs. The authors explore the reasons behind the hesitation to talk about death and dying, and the associated challenges faced by district and community nurses.
