Abstract
HLA sensitization remains a major barrier to kidney transplantation.1,2 Transplantation in the presence of donor-specific HLA antibodies confers a high risk of antibody-mediated rejection (AMR), often necessitating intensified immunosuppression and resulting in premature graft loss. We report the clinical course of a broadly HLA-sensitized patient in whom anti-CD19 CAR T cell therapy enabled successful kidney transplantation.
