This assessment comprises a review of current information on the character, distribution and potential of archaeological sites in anticipation of a major housing development to the south and west of the village of Kennet, Cambs. The development area lies immediately north of the Icknield Way, and is thus a part of the interface between the main Cambridgeshire chalklands in the south, and the Fenlands to the North.
