Description

This repository contains the raw data necessary to reproduce figures and results from the published manuscript. The zipped data represents all of the techniques reported in this publication, including: Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy, Elemental Analysis, Nitrogen Gas Sorption, Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Thermogravimetric Analysis, Transmission Electron Microscopy and X-ray Diffraction.

The folder_directory.txt included contains a detailed explanation of the filetypes and the contents of each folder and subfolder.

Software / Usage instructions

.txt and .xy files can be opened by Notepad or other text editing software. .csv files can be opened by a number of programmes including Micorsoft Excel or Libreoffice call (free alternative). .TIFF files are image files which can be opened using the open source software ImageJ. .dm3 files are BF-TEM image files that can be opened using Digital Micrograph or open source software ImageJ using a 'dm3 reader' plugin. .emi and .ser files are either image files from DF-STEM or spectrum image files from EDX-STEM experiments (in their respective folders). The image files can be opened in ES Vision or TIA software (FEI) or in open source software ImageJ using a plugin 'TIA Reader'. The spectrum images can be opened in ES Vision/TIA or using an open source Python package Hyperspy.
