Abstract
Recent events involving resident doctors across multiple health systems have brought renewed attention to workforce instability. While these disputes are often framed as conflicts over pay, staffing, or healthcare policy, their implications may extend far beyond service delivery. Workforce instability risks undermining the clinical academic pipeline, threatening future medical innovation and potentially widening health inequalities.
